Battista Borgogno Barolo 2021 is a classic, 100% Nebbiolo expression of the Barolo area. The estate’s Barolo is made from manually harvested fruit, with extended maceration in wooden vats followed by maturation in large Slavonian-oak casks, a traditional approach that favors texture, perfume and gradual development. Expect red berry fruit, dried flowers and savory spice framed by elegant tannins and a long finish. Serve at 18–20°C with braised beef, roast lamb, game, mushroom risotto or aged hard cheeses.

100% Nebbiolo from vineyards in the Barolo area and, in some vintages, Diano d’Alba. The grapes are hand-harvested; maceration is relatively short, at 8-12 days, and malolactic fermentation takes place in stainless steel. A young, floral and approachable Nebbiolo, with fresh cherry and raspberry, rose, delicate spice and tannins that are present yet elegant. The emphasis is on freshness and purity of fruit. A natural match for pasta, risotto, poultry, lighter meats and cheese.
