Delivery policy

Delivery is available only in the areas listed below. Champagne Fairy also tries to arrange free social delivery by passing the wine to someone near you for collection. No returns or replacements, except for defective bottles. A defective bottle must be reported within three months of purchase, kept, and brought to Champagne Fairy as evidence of a defect in the producer's wine. Contact Champagne Fairy before bringing the bottle.

Orders are processed within 48 hours. Delivery takes up to 10 days after dispatch. Order processing and deliveries operate seven days a week.

Champagne Fairy was founded and is owned by Elena Birenerg and John Neystadt. Elena is the Fairy in Chief, and John is the Champagne Fay.

Champagne Fairy has been a boutique wine importer and distributor in Israel since 2010. For the wineries we import, Champagne Fairy is the exclusive importer and a distributor, except Szepsy, for which it is an importer and distributor. It is also a distributor for selected wineries.

We believe grower Champagne is often more exciting than the large commercial Champagne houses because it reflects family domaines, villages, soils, grapes, vintages, and cellar philosophy.

The catalog currently offers one of Israel's deepest grower Champagne selections, with about 135 available grower Champagne listings from about 11 grower Champagne houses.

Beyond Champagne, Champagne Fairy has deep expertise in Mosel, Etna, and Tokaj, with a strong focus on sparkling, white, and rose wines.

The Terry Theise scale describes the balance between perceived sweetness and acidity.

Value	Meaning
-2	Austere; for lovers of austere wines.
-1	Sugar is discernibly absent, but the wine is balanced.

+2	Discernible but unobtrusive sweetness.
+3	Sweetness is important in itself.

Champagne dosage

Champagne and sparkling sweetness is usually described by dosage, the sugar added after disgorgement, plus any residual sugar already in the wine.

Value	Meaning
Zero Dosage / Brut Nature	Under 3 grams of total sugar per liter, with no sugar added after secondary fermentation.
Extra Brut	0 to 6 grams sugar per liter.
Brut	Under 12 grams sugar per liter.
